The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research of the Government of National Unity has announced the granting of 40 scholarships to Gambian students in Libya.

It explained that this includes 20 scholarships for a bachelor's degree and 20 scholarships for postgraduate studies in the fields of Arabic language and Islamic studies.

This came during a meeting between the Minister of Higher Education, Imran Al-Qeeb, and his Gambian counterpart, Pierre Gomaz, on the sidelines of the "World Week of Scientific Francophonie" in the French city of Toulouse.
