The Arabian Gulf Oil Company (AGOCO) has announced the resumption of oil production from a well that had been inactive for 22 years in the Masla oil field, with a production capacity estimated at about 1,510 barrels per day.

AGOCO indicated that with the help of Libyan engineers from the Reservoir Engineering, Drilling and Production Departments, it was able to convert the non-producing well (DD21-80), which has been classified as an observation well since 2001 in the Masla oil field, into a productive well.
