Akakus Oil Company has announced the completion of drilling well D-42, achieving an initial production rate of 1,480 barrels per day.

This step reflects the company’s commitment to increasing production capacity as part of a vision aimed at reaching two million barrels per day.

In a statement on Tuesday, the company explained that this achievement highlights the efficiency and efforts of its national engineers, who continue to work on improving performance and increasing production.

This development follows Akakus’ success on March 10 in restoring production from well H-46 at a rate of 650 barrels per day, in addition to completing the drilling of the new well B-52H in the Sharara field, which recorded a daily production of 1,750 barrels.
