The Algerian ambassador to Italy, Abdelkarim Tawaheriya, has affirmed his country's rejection of foreign interventions that lead to an exacerbation of the situation in Libya, according to the Italian Nova News Agency.

Tawaheriya told Nova, that his country is working with Italy to promote stability in the Sahel region and Libya, and to avoid any foreign interference that might exacerbate the situation.

"We firmly believe that international cooperation based on mutual respect and the common goal of development and stability is necessary to ensure a better future for Africa", the Algerian ambassador added.
