Algeria has refuted news about preventing Libyans from entering its territory through the common crossing border with Libya.

"Some accounts on social media have recently circulated malicious publications stating that the Algerian authorities are obstructing the crossing of the Libyan brothers coming to Algeria to spend their holidays by imposing unfair measures," a readout by the Algerian Customs Directorate says.

The directorate made it clear that the images posted online showing a long queue of travelers waiting to pass a checkpoint was not at the Libyan-Algerian crossing border.

It deemed these allegations false and unfounded, confirming its firm commitment to the comfort of Libyan travelers in Algeria.
