The Supreme Council for the Amazigh has called on the joint armed troops in their cities to support them and to gather all relevant defense forces to assist in repelling all hostile militia loyal to Haftar.
The Council clarified in a statement that it was monitoring closely all movements by Haftar’s militia in Sorman, Sabratha and Al-Watiya, whose aim is to antagonize the municipalities of Zawiya and Zuwara and provoke the region into war and conflict.
“The consequence of such a reaction would directly result in even more suffering and strife for the Libyan population,” read the statement.
The Council warned that it would bear no responsibility for damage and mayhem as a result of any attacks on oil installations in the region.
