The former president of the High Council of State (HCS) Abdulrahman Asewehli called on all parties of the conflict in Tripoli to exercise restraint and cease all hostilities.

The Security arrangements should be initiated forthwith and without any Internal and external influence, insisting on the importance of involving the United Nations security team, given to be a neutral body that enjoys the confidence of the parties to the crisis, Asewehli tweeted out on his Twitter account.

He also expressed the need for finding an executive authority that enjoys the confidence of the people in parliamentary elections as soon as possible, according to his statement on Twitter.
