Othman Abdel Jalil, who acts as minister of health in the east-based rival government, has suspended 14 employees and referred them for investigation for their interaction with Dbeibah's government, the (GNU) in Tripoli.

Abdul Jalil said the employees failed to adhere to the orders of Aqila Saleh, Speaker of the House of Representatives, which stipulates not to deal in any way with the "outgoing government.”

Abdel Jalil noted that the order prohibits officials working under the eastern authorities from reaching out, implementing, or taking instructions from the Tripoli-based government, saying that violating these decisions exposes the "perpetrator" to legal accountability.
