The Baraghtha tribe denounced Saturday what it called the arbitrary measures taken by forces affiliated with Khalifa Haftar in Benghazi.
The Baraghtha tribe said, in a statement, that a group not affiliated with the police attempted to arrest Al-Mahdi Al-Barghathi immediately upon his return to his home, which caused the outbreak of armed clashes in the city of Benghazi.
The statement noted that Al-Mahdi Al-Barghathi returned home after the military establishment’s announcement allowing the return of everyone who wanted to return home.
“We confirm that our son did not engage in any activity against any of the parties, and we warn the forces that the use of violence will be met with violence, and the situation in Benghazi and all of Cyrenaica may lead to collapse,” it added.
