The Special Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Head of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL), Abdoulaye Bathily, has expressed his hope that 2023 will be a year to make up for lost opportunities and find a lasting solution that paves the way for holding elections, and building sustainable peace and prosperity in Libya.
"Best wishes to all people in Libya on the occasion of the new year.” Bathily said on UNSMIL Facebook page.
The US Embassy to Libya also wished all Libyans a happy new year.
