The Charge d'Affairs of the US Embassy to Libya, Jeremy Berndt, has affirmed his country's support for the efforts of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) to perform its tasks in order to achieve stability and reach elections.

This came during his meeting with member of the Presidential Council, Musa Al-Koni, during which he praised the United States efforts to address the political impasse in the country, according to the Presidential Council.

The meeting discussed the latest developments in the situation at the local and international levels, and the repercussions of the events that neighboring countries are experiencing on the stability of Libya.

Berndt reviewed cooperation with the Libyan side in reconstructing the cities of the south and creating spatial development there.
