The Security and Safety Committee of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) has conducted an inspection visit to Tripoli Stadium, during which it inspected the stadium’s security and safety procedures in preparation for the stadium’s approval to host official matches for the national teams and Libyan teams in international participation.
After the visit, the delegation met with the President of the Libyan Football Federation, Abdul Hakim Al-Shalmani, who expressed his full cooperation with the CAF delegation to approve the stadium for international matches.
The Tripoli Stadium was reopened on March 8 after a maintenance, renovation and development process in the presence of the head of the Presidential Council, Mohammed Menfi, and the Prime Minister, Abdel Hamid Dbeibah.
