Commander of Libya's Coast Guard, German ambassador discuss technical support
The German ambassador to Libya, Oliver Owcza has discussed with the commander of the Libyan Coast Guard technical support for the coastguards, including high-capability vessels to operate in Libyan waters.
The meeting took place in the navy force's headquarters in Tripoli, where the two parties discussed illegal immigration issues as the German ambassador extended thanks to the Libyan coastguards for their efforts.
Last Tuesday, the German ambassador met with the Head of the Anti-Illegal-Immigration Center, Al-Mabrouk Abdelhamid and discussed illegal immigration issues, as the latter criticized the inconsistency of international NGOs in dealing with Libya regarding this phenomenon, adding that Libya was left alone to tackle it amid the lack of action by the international community.
