The Tripoli Criminal Court has issued a ruling for six former officials of the Jumhouria Bank on charges of legal violations.
Investigations revealed their involvement in suspicious banking operations and facilitating others’ access to sums of money from foreign exchange allocated for personal purposes, without depositing the corresponding financial values.
The court ruled to imprison one of the accused for one year with a suspended sentence, fined her 2,000 dinars, in addition to imprisoning four others for a period of one year, while it sentenced another accused to imprisonment for one year and a half.
