The Government of National Unity announced Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Dbeibah made a phone call with the commander of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) in Sudan, Mohammed Hamdan Dagalo (Hemedti), on Saturday, and invited him to visit Libya.

The government said in a statement that the phone call had addressed the need to bring viewpoints closer between the Sudanese parties in order to achieve peace and stability in Sudan. It indicated that the Chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council of Sudan, Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, will make an official visit to Tripoli this week.

Dbeibah met about a month ago in Tripoli with the Sudanese ambassador to Libya, Ibrahim Mohammed Ahmed, and they talked about facilitating the conditions of Sudanese refugees by accepting them in Libyan schools and universities, and completing their legal procedures by the Libyan Passports Authority. During the meeting, the Sudanese ambassador gave Dbeibah a verbal message from Al-Burhan.
