Prime Minster Abdul Hamid Dbeibah has reiterated the need for coordinating national and international efforts to reconstruct flood-affected cities such as Derna in eastern Libya.

The PM's remarks came at a meeting with the Ambassador of Germany, Michael Ohnmacht, on Wednesday, in which they discussed Libya's political developments and issues of mutual interest.

A statement by the PM media office said the parties confirmed support for the UN envoy's efforts to reach fair and just elections and reviewed the potential return of German companies to Libya.

During the meeting, PM Dbeibah underscored Libya's official and popular stance regarding the "Israeli aggression against defenceless civilians in the Gaza Strip who are facing intense raids amid the silence of the international community."
