The European Union (EU) said Monday that it has donated 7 million euros to Libya Stabilization Fund.

Resident Representative of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Libya, Maria Ribeiro, clarified during the seventh meeting of the Fund’s contributors in Tripoli that since 2016, the Fund has implemented 285 projects in the cities of Bani Walid, Benghazi, Kikla, Sabha, Sirte, Tripoli, and Ubari, including electricity networks, infrastructure, hospitals and school projects.

The participants in the meeting stressed their continued support for the Fund and the United Nations Action Plan.

The UNDP established Libya Stabilization Fund In 2016, in cooperation with the Presidential Council, to support and maintain municipal infrastructure.
