The British Financial Times newspaper reported that the European Union donated over 105 military vehicles to Ghana, which were seized from a Libya-bound vessel last year that was in breach of the United Nations arms embargo.

According to the newspaper, this step comes within the framework of efforts to enhance security in the West African nation.

The vehicles were handed over on 28 October by Josep Borrell, the High Representative for Foreign Policy of the European Union, during his visit to the country.
