The European Union Ambassador to Libya, Nicola Orlando, has stressed that the disarmament, demobilization and reintegration of fighters is a crucial objective for the European Union and Libya.

Orlando said that the European Union supports these efforts through a brilliant program with the Ministry of Labour and the National Rehabilitation and Reintegration Project.

He praised the winners of the contest organized by the “Super Novae” Foundation for the best entrepreneurial initiatives for former combatants and their family members.

“A new beginning is always possible and the EU and its member states are committed to support Libya in this effort”, Orlando said on his X page.
