The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Government of National Unity, Taher Al-Baour, discussed with the Japanese Ambassador to Libya the development of bilateral relations. They also discussed during a meeting held in Tripoli working on establishing joint committees and activating prospects for cooperation between the two countries, in order to benefit from Japan's experience in various fields, especially in health, energy, and sustainable development.

Al-Baour stressed the Libyan side's desire to raise the level of bilateral relations, including the reopening of the Japanese consular section in Libya to facilitate visa issuance procedures for Libyan students, diplomats, and businessmen.

He also stressed the keenness of the Government of National Unity to enhance cooperation with Japan in various fields, praising their efforts in supporting stability and development in Libya.
