French President's Special Envoy to Libya

The French President's Special Envoy to Libya, Paul Soler, was briefed on the Presidential Council's vision on mechanisms and means of distributing resources in a fair way that "guarantees equitable development for all Libyans and helps achieve full stability in Libya."

The discussion came in a meeting for the Head of the Presidential Council Mohammed Menfi on Monday with Soler, who stressed his country's support for "the efforts of the Presidential Council and its positive role in the political process," according to a statement by the Presidential Council.

Menfi reaffirmed the depth of relations between the two countries, noting that the Presidential Council "supports anything that leads to holding inclusive parliamentary and presidential elections."
