The General Electricity Company of Libya (GECOL) has announced that three generating units at Zawiya power station have gone out of service due to the clashes that took place near the station.
This caused damage in the second gas turbine and the second and third steam turbines, in addition to disconnection of the power distribution circuits, The company added that this will lead to an increase in load shedding hours.
It confirmed that the specialized technical teams will directly repair the damage in case the security situation in the area improves.
