A national campaign was launched by the General Electricity Company of Libya (GECOL) on Sunday, in cooperation with the Joint Force of the Ministry of Defense, which continues to limit trespass on the public electrical grid and remove illegal connections.

The GECOL stated that the campaign targeted the Abu Sitta area on Monday, during which time, many illegal connections were removed.

It urged the shopkeepers to pay their legal obligations in tariffs to the company and install meters.

The company confirmed that the national campaign will continue to include all regions and neighbourhoods in Tripoli.
