Haftar’s militias announced, on Wednesday, the suspension of all military operations unilaterally on the Tripoli front lines and their commitment to a humanitarian truce.

The sudden announcement came after numerous violations committed by them, in which they suffered major defeat at the hands of the Libyan Army.

The spokesman for Haftar’s militias, Ahmed Al-Mismari, said in a press conference that they had decided to stop all military operations unilaterally in the axes of Tripoli, in response to the kind invitation to do so by friendly countries.

However, he said that they retained the right to respond to any breach; he did not however elaborate on the subject or give further details on the truce.
