Head of Tawergha Local Council, Abdul Rahman Al-Shakshak announced on Tuesday his resignation saying that his decision was made on medical grounds and because it’s time for a change.
"I have occupied this post since 2011 and it’s time to give the opportunity to fresh blood," Al-Shakshak said in a press conference. He added that during his term he has made every effort to serve his town and citizens, including working to return Tawerghans to their home town after years of displacement.
