The Anti-Illegal Immigration Agency, Tripoli branch announced Tuesday, the repatriation of illegal immigrants from Niger.
The agency continued its voluntary repatriation of immigrants in cooperation with international organizations concerned with the immigration file, as the previous flight last Thursday was repatriation of immigrants from Ghana, according to a statement published by the branch on its Facebook account.
It is to be noted that a UN report had observed a 50% increase in migration waves from Niger towards Libyan territory since December, after Niger abolished Law 036/2015, which criminalizes human smuggling, which Niger enacted in 2015 before repealing it in November.
