The Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced the allocation of 37.2 million euros, to contribute to the stabilization of illegal immigration flows in North Africa, the Sahel and West Africa.
Three projects were funded in Libya, two in Niger and one in the Sahel region to improve border management and combat human trafficking, the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said, according to the Italian Decode 39 website, confirming the launching of an awareness campaign in the Sahel region about the dangers of illegal immigration.
