Al-Rujban Police Station of the Jadu Security Directorate has arrested two persons on charges of stealing ground electrical cables.
In a statement on Monday, the Interior Ministry explained that the thieves had stolen cables and sabotaged others, confirming that all legal measures have been taken and they were referred to the competent authorities.
Theft and vandalism of electricity cables has increased in several Libyan cities recently, which has led to cutting off electricity, according to the General Electricity Company of Libya (GECOL).
