Chargé d'Affaires of the US Embassy to Libya, Jeremy Berndt, has spoken about two issues essential to achieving economic stability in Libya: sharing oil revenues and fiscal policy.

The US Chargé d'Affaires met on Thursday with the Chairman of the Finance and Public Budget Committee of the House of Representatives, Omar Tantoush, in Tripoli, according to a blog post published by the US Embassy on its X account on Friday evening.

Berndt said: “Transparent revenue sharing and a cohesive financial policy are critical for Libya’s economic stability.”
