The Deputy Special Representative of the Secretary-General for Political Affairs and Acting Head of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya, Stephanie Koury, has reviewed the challenges facing the unification of security institutions amid Libya's ongoing political divisions and the volatile security situation in the region.
This came during her meeting with the Libyan National Security Adviser, Ibrahim Bouchnaf, in Benghazi, which she described as constructive, according to her X platform page.
“We discussed ways to build trust among Libyan stakeholders and reactivate the political process”, Koury said.
