The Deputy Special Representative of the Secretary-General for Political Affairs and Acting Head of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya, Stephanie Koury, has discussed with the Presidential Council member, Musa Al-Koni, the current political issues as well as pressing economic and security concerns.
“I appreciated the insight he provided regarding the political dynamics of the country and the discussion on maintaining the ceasefire and enhancing provision of services to areas of need across Libya, especially in the South”, Koury said on her X platform page.
Koury stressed the importance of comprehensive national reconciliation, as well as encouraging an effective and active civil society and advancing human rights.
