The Libyan authorities plan to open new service facilities at the Ras Jedir border crossing with Tunisia, the Interior Ministry has confirmed.

The facilities will open in the coming days in coordination between the ministries of interior and transport.

Interior Minister Badr El-Din Toumi visited the crossing border Sunday and toured the security and service facilities at the site.

He stressed the need to provide services to the fullest, especially for people with special needs and patients, vowing to harness all efforts to solve the overcrowding problem and other issues facing travelers at the crossing point.
