The judicial councils of Libya and Egypt are continuing cooperation to raise the efficiency of their members and provide specific training for judges, member of the Libyan Supreme Judicial Council Dhaw Al-Ghazawi has said.

Al-Ghazawi made his comments during a visit to Cairo at the head of a high-level delegation to meet the President of the Egyptian State Judicial Council, Mohamed Hossam El-Din.

This visit comes within the framework of the MoU signed between Libya's Supreme Judicial Council and the Egyptian State Council, which aims to enhance cooperation and benefit from the Egyptian experience in the field of the Fatwa and administrative judiciary, as reported by the government-run Egyptian newspaper the Ahram.

Al-Ghazawi listened to a detailed presentation on the origins of drafting legal fatwas in Egypt and the procedures to be taken into account, besides the stages of the fatwa, its foundations, and the distinction between fatwa and judgment.
