Libyan Foreign Minister, Najla Al-Mangoush, has held telephone consultations with her Tunisian counterpart, Nabil Ammar, on ways to address the situation of African migrants on the Tunisian-Libyan borders.
The Libyan Foreign Ministry said, in a statement, that Al-Mangoush made a phone call with her Tunisian counterpart to "congratulate him on the occasion of Eid Al-Adha", during which the two sides discussed "the latest developments in the region, and the importance of continuous coordination between the two countries, in addition to the two governments' continued work in Libya and Tunisia towards enhancing cooperation in various fields.
It is to be noted that the Tunisian authorities had expelled hundreds of African migrants to a remote desert area near the Libyan border, in a process described by human rights organizations as a "collective expulsion" of migrants.
