Foreign Minister Najla Al-Manqoush, had a phone conversation Wednesday with the US Assistant Secretary of State for Near Eastern Affairs, Barbara Leaf, which focused on strengthening coordination between the two countries regarding the situation in Sudan.

"I had a phone call with US Assistant Secretary of State for Near Eastern Affairs Barbara Leaf, during which we discussed raising the level of coordination between our two countries to deal with the repercussions of the unfortunate situation in Sudan on Libya," FM Al-Manqoush tweeted.

The two sides also discussed their government's willingness to cooperate in the security and political fields to support efforts for calm and peace, according to Al-Mangoush.
