The Foreign Ministry called on the Security Council to convene an emergency session for discussing the "serious escalation" in Tripoli, and investigate the aerial bombardment of the city by foreign aircraft.

"The Libyan Foreign Ministry has officially informed the United States of the discovery of sophisticated US-made missiles during the liberation of the city of Gharyan," according to ministry's Information Office, pointing out that Washington has welcomed Libyan cooperation in investigating how such weapons found its way into the hands of Haftar's militias.
