A Libyan parliament delegation arrived in Glasgow, Scotland, to participate in the United Nations Climate Change Conference, Libya's House of Representatives has confirmed.

A statement by the HoR media office indicated that the meeting organized by the Inter-Parliamentary Union would discuss parliamentary actions in the course of the main issues and orientations of COP26 and ways of ensuring implementation of its outcomes.

Parliamentarians will have the opportunity to discuss national goals and means to increase government accountability, as well as the role of parliaments in financing climate-related activities.

They would also review the damage and adverse effects posed by climate change and the measurement of climate change impacts, besides ways to address them.
