The Libyan Ports and Maritime Transport Authority announced on Sunday that tugs belonging to the Libyan Ports Company successfully refloated the stranded cargo ship Nana Lee and berthed it at the Tripoli Seaport.

According to a statement on the Authority's Facebook page, the ship was carrying approximately 28,000 tons of corn at the time of the incident.

The operation was carried out by the pilots, crews, and tugs of the Libyan Ports Company's Marine Affairs Division at the Tripoli Seaport.

On Saturday, the Authority announced that the Nana Lee had run aground while manoeuvring to enter the Tripoli Seaport.
