Al-Sarir power plant said Monday that the gas turbine No.2 has become nonoperational and will remain so for two days due to scheduled maintenance.

The Head of the plant Khairallah Al-Hadiri said the routine repairing and maintenance are important to keep the plant’s turbines working well.

The turbine is scheduled to be operational next Thursday with 220 megawatts’ capacity.

Meanwhile, the gas turbine No.2 became operational in last July, adding 250 megawatts to the electricity network.
