Libya's ambassador to Italy, Muhannad Younis, denied participation in Foreign Minister Naja Al-Mangoush's meeting with her counterpart Eli Cohen in Rome last week.
"I was not aware of the meeting that took place in Rome at all, and for more than a month I have been spending an annual vacation in Libya, and the person in charge of conducting business is also unaware of the meeting”, Younis said in a statement.
Libya is currently witnessing a wave of widespread anger after Tel Aviv revealed on Sunday that its Foreign Minister met his counterpart in the Government of National Unity in Rome last week.
