The Minister of Defense of the Government of National Accord, Salah Al-Din Al-Namroush, discussed on Friday with his Italian counterpart, Lorenzo Guerini, strengthening cooperation between the defense ministries of the two countries at all levels.
The meeting, which was held at Namroush's residence in Qatar, discussed cooperation and coordination in search and rescue operations in the Mediterranean, in addition to providing support to the Libyan Navy.
Al-Namroush visited the Qatari capital, Doha, on Thursday, as part of the Libyan Ministry of Defense's efforts to develop and build capabilities, and to strengthen bilateral cooperation with various countries, according to a previous statement by the Ministry.
