The Minister of Industry and Economy of the Interim Government, Mounir Assar, has called on the leader of Dignity Operation, Khalifa Haftar, to intervene and permit flour enter the besieged city of Derna.
The Minister stated that the ban on flour supplies to the city over the months of August and September has caused a crisis in the most bakeries in the city.
Dignity Operation forces refused to allow trucks loaded with flour to enter Derna and supply bakeries last August, which has resulted in a large number of bakeries closing down, causing a humanitarian crisis.
