The Minister of Transport, Mohammed Al-Shahoubi, has discussed with the Libyan Ambassador to the European Union and the Head of the Civil Aviation Authority, the relationship with the European Commission and the European Aviation Safety Agency, to lift the air embargo imposed on Libya.

Al-Shahoubi stressed the importance of informing the European side of the plans being implemented, adding that the arrangements made by the Ministry with the International Civil Aviation Organization were to address the shortcomings and meet the requirements for lifting the ban, “Our Government” platform indicated.

For his part, the ambassador affirmed the Commission's cooperation and readiness to review what civil aviation has accomplished regarding the requirements for lifting the air embargo.
