Minister of Education, Musa al-Maqrif has discussed with the Italian Ambassador to Libya Gianluca Alberini implementation of provisions of the joint cooperation memorandum between Libya and Italy regarding the education sector.
The meeting, which was held at the ministry on Tuesday, addressed the issue of teaching the Italian language as an optional language in educational institutions, according to the Ministry of Education.
It also discussed the possibility of granting Libyan high school graduates the opportunity to enroll in Italian universities to receive their university education in the field of Italian language.
The Minister of Education expressed the ministry's readiness for greater cooperation with Italy in a way that serves the educational process.
