The Ministry of Labour and Rehabilitation on Tuesday discussed with the Municipality of Central Tripoli a proposal to establish a labour housing zone in the municipality.

The meeting was joined by the director of the Labour Housing Follow-up Department, the mayor of Central Tripoli, and the head of the Inspection Department of the Tripoli Office.

The Labour Ministry said the project comes as part of efforts to keep track of expatriates in side greater Tripoli and provide them with appropriate accommodation to limit the phenomenon of informal settlements, where many migrants live.
