The city of Misrata is preparing to host the first African Volleyball U-17 Championship, from 10 to 20 December 2023.
According to the Libyan Volleyball Federation, the committees in charge of organizing the tournament have been putting the final touches on the African event, amid follow-up from the Federation and the Ministry of Sports of the Government of National Unity, where technical committees have been formed to make the tournament a success.
The tournament will be held at the Misrata International Sports Hall, with the participation of eight teams from across the African continent.
The Libyan national junior team is preparing for the tournament at an external preparatory camp in Tunisia, during which it played a friendly match with its Tunisian counterpart, which ended with the latter winning in three clean games.
