Misrata municipality said the Presidential Council bears the responsibility for the delay of the Tawergha IDPs’ return to their city due to announcing February 01 as a comeback date without coordinating with the concerned parties and thus leading to the delay of finishing of the needed measures to implement the agreement.
It also denounced in a Monday statement the media exploitation of the IDPs’ situation for political gains, adding that it is with reconciliation between Tawergha and Misrata and against the attacks against IDPs.
The municipality called on the Presidential Council to commit to the implementation of the agreement in a rational and studied way.
