MP Jibril Waheeda, has stated that the House of Representatives (HoR) does not pay attention to what the Special Adviser to the United Nations Secretary-General on Libya, Stephanie Williams, or any foreign ambassador says, denying that HoR had any relevance to the suspension of the electoral process.

Waheeda revealed that the next session will consider the possibility of holding elections in the foreseeable future, but with the presence of an executive authority capable of overcoming the force majeure situation that prevented the elections from taking place on time.

MP Waheeda criticised the Government of National Unity, saying that “it was not up to par and it was not able to fulfill many of the obligations stipulated in the roadmap”.
