MPs of the cities and regions affected by Storm Daniel have discussed a proposed law regarding the establishment of a reconstruction agency for those areas, which will be presented in the next session of the House of Representatives.

The proposed law stipulates that the agency will be affiliated with the government, and financed from the state treasury and local and international donations. It will be subject to the oversight of the state’s regulatory institutions and not affiliated with the House of Representatives.

The attendees pointed out that the affected cities and regions in Derna and Al-Jabal Al-Akhdar need the reconstruction of the dilapidated infrastructure that was damaged by torrents and floods.
