Director of National Center for Disease Control (NCDC), Haider Al-Sayeh, has stressed the importance of providing all necessary needs to ensure protection from the monkeypox virus.
This came during a meeting held in the presence of directors of departments and offices concerned with epidemic and disease control to review and evaluate the center’s plans and raise level of preparedness to confront monkeypox virus.
During the meeting, Al-Sayeh reviewed the mechanism of work of monitoring and rapid response networks, the readiness of public health laboratories, and all aspects related to combating the virus.
He also stressed the need to follow the local and regional epidemiological situation, and keep abreast of any new developments regarding the monkeypox virus.
